Fix Black Screen in Yacine TV
Hearing the sound but seeing nothing? This is the most common issue people run into. Here's how to fix it.
Error: Decoder Failed
3 Ways to Fix Black Screen
Most of the time, one of these will fix it. Try them in order.
1. Change the Decoder
If you hear sound but see black, your phone's hardware can't decode the video format.
Fix: Go to Settings > Player > Decoder. Switch from HW to SW. This uses software decoding instead.
2. Use a Different Player
The built-in player doesn't work well on some phones.
Fix: Install VLC from the Play Store. Then in Yacine settings, pick "External Player" and select VLC. This works almost every time.
3. Check Your Internet
Sometimes your internet provider blocks certain streams.
Fix: Try mobile data instead of WiFi. Or use a VPN to bypass any blocking.
Black Screen on Specific Devices
📺 TV & FireStick
On TVs, it's often a resolution mismatch.
Fix: Force 720p quality instead of Auto.
On FireStick, also try turning OFF "Match Original Frame Rate" in display settings.
💻 PC (BlueStacks)
On BlueStacks, it's usually a graphics engine problem.
Fix: Open BlueStacks Settings > Graphics > Switch from DirectX to OpenGL.
This fixes it for most PC users.
🔄 After Updating
Started happening after an update? The new version might be too heavy for your device.
Fix: Clear app data first. If that doesn't work, download an older version from our archive.
📱 Phone Issues
On Samsung and some other phones, power saving mode can cause this.
Fix: Make sure Battery Saver / Power Saving Mode is turned OFF.
More Specific Situations
Why does this happen?
It's almost never the server. It's your device struggling to decode the video stream. That's why SD channels might work when HD ones don't.
Older/Cheaper Phones
1. Close other apps running in background.
2. Clear the app cache.
3. Select "Mobile" quality instead of HD.
Internet Provider Issues
Some providers throttle streaming. Try changing DNS to 8.8.8.8 or use a VPN.
Rooted Phones / Casting
If your phone is rooted, hide root status. For casting issues, use "Web Video Caster" app instead of built-in cast.
Still not working? Sometimes a fresh install is the answer.
